Guitar teacher located in Cambria but willing to travel anywhere in the county. I have nearly 30 years experience in guitar, specifically alternative/indie rock style for those looking to play with an edge. Also have extensive experience in classic rock, surf rock, blues, punk, funk and metal. I am also accomplished in folk,Celtic, old school country and other acoustic guitar stylings. Influences include The Who, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, Foo Fighters, U2, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pearl Jam, The Pixies, The Ramones, Sonic Youth,The Stooges, Johnny Cash, Neil Young. For those looking to gain knowledge about playing in bands, I have over 20 years experience. I have recorded several indie albums and have performed in venues ranging from churches to the Whiskey and other Hollywood clubs. I can supplement my guitar lessons by passing along knowledge pertaining to performing, getting gigs, band etiquette, sound checking, recording, etc. My students have told me I make lessons fun and stress free. My goal is to help the student realize the creative and artistic potential of the guitar. First lesson will be an evaluation of the students knowledge and a discussion of what they desire to learn, and will therefore be free. All subsequent lessons will be $25 an hour.
